Hi Marco, I feel your pain when it comes down to Lucent however, you can the software is free up to the 9.x code so unless you have the 9.x manual I dont think they are stating that ALL software releases are free. I think they are implying the software for that version. Also, all software downloads will be available through www.esight.com starting soon and not through the ftp.ascend.com site. We are a huge reseller of Lucent and 44 other vendors and if you are having problems with a particular issue, you can give us a call and we will more than gladly assist you.
