Hi Everyone,

I've got a MAX6000 running ebixk.m60 Revision: 7.2.0, (yeah, I know thats
old, but it will be updated soon, and its been running fine) and just
recently its started to exhibit random high latency on the ethernet
Interface. It is connected to a 100Mbit switch, and for example pinging
from a server also connected at 100Mbit to the switch:

Most of the time it is below 1 ms as it should be, but then it will
suddenly start climbing sometimes as high as 700ms and then after 10-15
seconds it drops down to normal again.

I've replaced the Ethernet cable and also tried different ports on the
switch with no joy. I havn't ruled out a faulty switch, so I will be trying
another one soon.

Has anyone seen this ?

Also, perhaps by co-incidence, perhaps related, it crashed and rebooted
last night, the fatal-history for it was:

FATAL ERROR: Index: 17 Load: ebixk.m60 Revision: 7.2.0
        Date: 04/18/2002. Time: 05:29:42
        Location: b0249074 b0249914 b0249b20 b0249428 b018f7a0 00000000

It also crashed twice last year with an identical error, and Location. Does
anyone know how I should go about interpreting the error ?

Thanks.

Regards,
Simon
