I'll agree that is a pretty generic error. I would try to get the nvram rebuilt (Diagnostic menu - fsave - nvramclear). That may solve the problem. Another option would be to upgrade the IOS (ftp.ascend.com). I've found the 7.0.4 code to be quite reliable.
