I know the Pipelines support this, I have used it on and off for
years.  =20

Now I have an Ascend Max TNT, and it seems to be taking modem and ISDN
data calls fine, but if I try and make an ISDN Data over Voice call
(DOSBS) it seems to answer but I never get any connection. Though I
can't be 100% sure, it pretty much acts like it's getting a modem and
not trying and HDLC connection.

If anyone knows if this can be done, and what I need to do to support
it, the information would be very much appreciated. =20

There are two ways to get to NINDY on a MAX6000:
- by setting one of the jumpers
- by typing "ascend", all lower case, immediately (and fast!)
upon reset from the console port, connected at 9600 bps.

Sending BREAK to any TAOS box will not get you anywhere.

Another way to recover a MAX6000 is with a PCMCIA flash card.
Always keep one around with code on it so you can easily recover
a failed upgrade.

Yes, the TNT can do that, but you will need to use
DNIS authentication. Otherwise, the TNT will think
that it is a modem call.

You provide very little information to be able to help.
Try updating the TNT to the latest code first.

Check your 'Sys Option' window for 'ISDN Sig Installed'. Installed means
that you can terminate ISDN lines.

Subject: [Ascend] (ASCEND) Normal uptimes for 6000s

Hello friends,

I am running 6096s with good ol' v.90 cards and 7.0.3 code and I will
usually get outrageously long uptimes of several months with no apparent
problems, though occasionally one will reboot for whatever reason.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I'm just wondering if maybe =
I
should be warm-cycling them more frequently to keep them "acting right", =
or
whatever. And I have never had any good reason for updating the code in
these units, seeing how well they are performing as they are.
