Is it me or is it taking up to a month for some replies to get posted on
this board? I sent this response out over three weeks ago! This is ALMOST
as slow as Lucent's website!?! (sorry, couldn't resist) I may not speak
for everyone, but, if I'm going to take the time to help someone, I'd like
to see them get the info while they can use it!!

Also, I believe that when you enable IP filters, there is an implicit deny
just like a Cisco ACL. So if you are blocking specific traffic only
(telnet,FTP), make sure to add a 'forward any' at the end. If you are just
wanting to allow specific traffic only (WWW,ARP), than do not add the
'forward any' filter.

Just my $.02

Yes, it can do that. Use either filters or firewalls (or both).

For firewalls, you need an external program (SCM?) which is run
on a Windoze machine and then downloaded into the pipeline.

For filters on the ethernet port, always remember to add a
forward entry for ARPs or you won't be able to talk to the
box.
