I have a few Ascend 6096s that are running 9.0.9. Is there a better version to be running ? A few years ago I asked Lucent what would be the cost just to get software upgrades and they told me that could only do a full service package for $10K which was kind of nuts considering at that time I could buy replacement units for $1,000. (now much less). Anyone running anything newer ? Or is older better ?
