I just checked. Only up to a certain point. And franky I think they forgot they were still running an ftp server. So if you dont mind running older TAOS, then I guess you can use that if its still there. They can hardly argue that you arent supposed to use it if its there. ~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~ Jake Messinger, VP. ph:713-772-6690 Visit: portmasters.com AMS, Inc. fx:713-774-3498 advmed.com 8300 Bissonnet #400 jake at jakes.org profjake.com Houston, Texas 77074 http://jakes.org homestarrunner.com ICQ# 4403734 YAHOO: prof_jake AIM: profjake MSN: jake at jakes.org Adjunct Professor University of Houston, CBA jake at uh.edu ~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~ ----- Original Message ----- From: brian haynes To: rte-ascend at lists.real-time.com Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2006 1:55 PM Subject: Re: [Ascend] Where can I find software features / upgrades forMAX-6000/ MAX-4000 ftp.ascend.com has them still last i looked ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brian Haynes MountaiNEt Network admin Icq 2238953 Tele 276.452.7304 Pager pager at jyhad.com Cell 423.677.3239 MountaNet blog http://webmail.mounet.com/blogs/MnetBlog/ Engineers aren't boring people; we just get excited over boring things. I think I still have it (no modem cards), if you want to pay me for the shipping + $10. Or maybe I threw it away, I will have to go check. Sad thing is, I paid $12,000 for it originally. There is 0 official support for the max's. Nor will you find code that you will be able to legally run. Nor will you find very many people that will help you out even for money. Did you buy them because they were cheap, or did you already have some running? Not to be a commercial but... We sell The Portmaster 3 which is equivalent to the max 40xx series. We still support it and distribute the comos as legally contracted by Lucent. If you DO find some max support, IOS, links, etc... I will gladly post them at portmasters.com. ~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~ Jake Messinger, VP. ph:713-772-6690 Visit: portmasters.com AMS, Inc. fx:713-774-3498 advmed.com 8300 Bissonnet #400 jake at jakes.org profjake.com Houston, Texas 77074 http://jakes.org homestarrunner.com ICQ# 4403734 YAHOO: prof_jake AIM: profjake MSN: jake at jakes.org Adjunct Professor University of Houston, CBA jake at uh.edu ~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nick Bright" <nick.bright at gmail.com> To: <rte-ascend at lists.real-time.com> Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2006 12:08 PM Subject: [Ascend] Where can I find software features / upgrades for MAX-6000/ MAX-4000 I've got quite a few MAX-4000 and several MAX-6000 units, bought off of eBay. I'm curious if it is possible to obtain updated software for them? I also have no idea what features are supported by what versions of the OS. In particular I'm working with a MAX-6000 right now, getting it ready for deployment, that has System +9.0.4 on it. Can anyone tell me what this supports, or where a feature matrix might be found? On the topic of software updates, I'm going to presume that these are not free. Who do I need to contact to purchase updates? I've not been able to find much about it in my googling.
